How source rankings work

Each platform keeps its own order

WorldTopHub brings together lists published by the original platforms. Most-read stories, trending projects, popular music and trading activity describe different kinds of attention. They are not combined into a universal score.

Metrics have different meanings

GitHub follows its daily Trending order. CoinGecko supplies trending search interest. Polymarket events are ordered by reported 24-hour trading volume, which is activity rather than an outcome forecast. Other cards name the particular source list being shown.

Collection time and freshness

The collector checks sources every five minutes while running. A collection timestamp is when a successful list was retrieved; it is not the original publication time. The browser checks for collected updates every ten seconds. This is periodic collection, not an instant connection to every platform.

When a source is unavailable

A previous successful list may remain visible with its original timestamp and a stale status. If no verified list exists, no replacement headlines are invented. Ordinary latest-news feeds are not treated as popularity rankings.

Original sources remain the reference

Headlines link to their original publishers. Refer to the source for its current ranking definition, regional scope and details. Where a source does not publish a numeric score or a time window, WorldTopHub does not infer one.
